StressEraser Portable Biofeedback Device Review

Erika Ayala asked:

I bought StressEraser Portable Biofeedback device because I have been searching for ways on how to calm down my nerves.? I noticed that I tend to forget things and get angry very easily when I’m stressed out.? I want to try this product and see if it can help me.? I bought it for $250 online and I’ve been using it for 2 weeks already.? First, I like it because it is so handy.? It looks like a pager that you can put in your pocket and use anytime you need to.? Whenever you feel stressed out, all you need to do is to put it out, put your finger on the part where you insert your finger and then follow its instruction.? The instruction will tell you when you will breathe in and breathe out.?

It’s a pretty cool gadget.? Basically, it helps you make your breath slower.? The manual says that studies have shown that slowing down your breath will have significant effect on your state of mind.? The biofeedback device will measure your pulse and will tell you if you’re doing the breathing correctly.? If you’re doing it the right way and you’re becoming less stressed out, 3 cubes will appear in the monitor.? If you are not following it and you still have a fast pulse rhythm, 1 cube will appear which means that your performance is not good. It is like a trainer that tells you exactly your condition and what to do about it.? While you’re doing it, it guides you until the time that you achieved your goal of having slower breathing and calmer mind.? So far, after 2 weeks of using it every time I feel that I will get angry and pissed off or every time I feel I’m pressured with deadlines at work, I just put it out and follow the instructions.?

What is Pain? – Nurse’s Simple Explanation

Helen Hecker asked:

If you’ve ever wondered what is pain I’ll explain what it is here.

If you’ve ever had a feeling that’s uncomfortable to any degree it’s probably pain. This symptom, feeling, discomfort, tingling, burning, soreness, aching or hurt tells your brain that something is wrong with your body and sends it a warning message.

It starts with the nerves and spinal cord and passes the message to your brain and also to other parts of the body.

Underneath and in your skin, lie thousands of cells called receptor cells. They detect light, cold, heat, pressure, touch and pain. Most of the receptor cells will sense pain. A few of them will sense cold.

Whenever you suffer an injury or trauma the receptor cells communicate with your brain by sending messages along the nerves and nerve pathways into your spinal cord. The spinal cord then sends the messages on to your brain.

If you have surgery, the injury from cutting during surgery sends messages to the brain by way of the nerves and spinal cord. If you’re properly medicated or given pain medication before and during surgery then you won’t be able to feel any pain because the messages have been blocked.

Pain can be mild or severe or anything in between. It can be annoying like you might have with an injury from a small cut. Or you might have severe pain after surgery, called post-surgical pain which may or may not be helped by painkillers, drugs or medication. This pain after surgery is a message to the brain that something is wrong or something is going on that needs to be attended to. Sometimes you can’t relieve the pain even with drugs or medications.

There can be thousands of causes for pain and many times you may not know the cause.

What is pain or painful to you may not be to someone else. Pain can be acute or chronic. It’s considered acute is it lasts for less than three months. It’s considered chronic if it lasts for more than three months.

The textbook explanation of pain is – an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated with actual or potential tissue damage – hope I don’t lose you here.

And there are basically three types: somatic, visceral and neuropathic.

As bad as pain can be sometimes, without it we would be in a heap of trouble. Small pains can usually be taken care of with natural treatments. Its treatment should be focused on a natural approach first.

Pain medication or painkillers should not be the first choice if natural treatments work. Sometimes it’s better for your body to tolerate a little pain instead of taking painkillers. All drugs have side effects and adverse reactions. You can be exposing your body to more injury with medications. Try natural methods first to treat it or get pain relief.

Always check with your doctor or pain specialist first before undergoing any new treatment.

I hope this gives you a basic idea as to what is pain. If you’re having pain that won’t go away try natural treatments first to relieve it. There are many treatments that are being used successfully to stop, diminish or control pain.

Memory Training Trick to Add Memory Capacity Through Biofeedback Concept

Lance Winslow asked:

We all would like to better our memory and have impeccable recall of facts and figures we have stored in our brains. We also know that sometimes the mind simply cannot remember a certain piece of data that seems to be right on the tip of our tongue. Well, actually we know where it is – it’s in our mind somewhere, attached to some other fact, figure, or event.

That’s right, that is where it is, but for some reason we have stored this piece of information in our memory through its association with something else. You’ve heard of memory by association, and that is the easiest way to commit information to brain storage. Would you like to have better recall and store more information? If so then why not use biofeedback techniques to tell your mind to lay down additional tracks to store information, thus, effectively re-formatting your brain.

Sound good? Okay, here is the mind exercise to do just that:

Envision shapes, flat screen like shapes at first, tell yourself you are laying down new tracks to store information, and you are connecting your brain via the structure of the screen. Each day pick a shape and connect all those corners of your brain. Like moving the energy from toe to head, try to vision sensations inside your head, remember there are no nerves there, so it is totally imagination.

You will be able to do this. Then when playing around with the tracks think of conflicts, dilemmas, or problems to solve, the answers will come to you like magic, it’s cool. Your mind is more powerful than you will ever know so, use it to your advantage and strengthen your memory. Think on this.
